We believe in the power of ideas, which simplify everyday life" Foppapedretti was born from the passion of the founder, Ezio Foppa Pedretti, for wood. The adventure begins in 1945 in the family home in Telgate (Bergamo), where the young Ezio enjoys transforming the scraps from his uncle Pierino's carpentry workshop, which produced umbrella handles, into toys. Involving his siblings Tito and Letizia, with the fundamental support of their mother Matilde, an elementary school teacher, in 1946 Ezio founded the "Foppa Pedretti Brothers Toy Factory". The production and commercial debut of Foppapedretti is linked to the production of children's toys: attention to detail and a lot of imagination distinguish the horse-drawn carts, the doll's kitchens which are perfect reproductions of the originals and the school lunch baskets. With the advent of plastic, the needs of the toy market changed and the foresight of the founder Ezio led to the necessary diversification of the assortment: in the Fifties the first articles for early childhood were born, a springboard for the company and its calling card for decades. There is the first high chair, then the cots and the school desks. Then the production expanded to include changing tables and bedroom furniture. In 1974 the production of garden and terrace furniture began until arriving, in the XNUMXs, at home objects that revolutionized the market by offering functional furniture that simplified everyday household chores. First of all, the Asso ironing board, the domestic ladders and the Gulliver clothes horse, still best sellers today, which transform banal household utensils into revolutionary work stations. This is the meaning of the company slogan "The tree of ideas", from which the company's stores also take their name: innovative and successful ideas where wood predominates, in the name of functionality and safety to satisfy, and even anticipate, market demand. Wood remains the predominant material in Foppapedretti production, but since the company is always looking for innovative ideas to satisfy new market needs, in 2004 it began its adventure in the marketing of strollers. Even in this sector, which is giving great results, Foppapedretti wants to apply the corporate philosophy that has distinguished it and made it appreciated on the market: the products must be functional, practical and safe, but also innovative to always be one step ahead. And so, after almost four years of research, in 2011 (production started in March 2012), the only stroller with an electric motor currently on the market was born: it is Myo Tronic, strongly desired and conceived by the CEO and president Luciano Bonetti. In 2011 Myo Tronic also won the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award. Quality of materials, practicality, functionality and manageability, together with refinement in design and attention to safety, make Foppapedretti a solid reality in the Italian industrial panorama and an important piece of "made in Italy" production in the world. The Foppapedretti Spa group has 210 employees, in addition to 300 workers in related industries and 30 agents between Italy and foreign markets. There are currently 2.200 retailers selling products for the home and early childhood, while there are 11 "Albero delle idee" branded stores, all in Italy: 6 owned by the company and 5 in franchising (data updated to 2014). Furthermore, under the brand "Kasalinghi Italia", a subsidiary of the Foppapedretti group, there are 13 points of sale present in the main Italian outlets. Since January 1988, the main office has been moved from Telgate to the neighbouring Grumello del Monte (Bergamo), overlooking the Milan-Venice motorway: 42.000 mXNUMX. covered between administrative offices, technical design studios and warehouses. To enhance the production and finishing of materials, in 1999 Foppapedretti Technology was founded in Bolgare, a few kilometers from the main headquarters and still facing the highway: a production company that works and transforms solid wood until obtaining the finished product.
